5 Jun 2009That my second all-time love is Luther Vandross? Bowie is always my number one first love always but Luther…swoon! My friends know how much I love R&B. That said, Usher, R. Kelly and those jiggly-voiced crooner kids can just Sit the Hell Down. I know you may argue for Teddy, Barry, Still Bill, Gill and Al but Luther is my favorite. I listen to my Luther when I want a good cry or when I’m feeling like dancing around the house in that bendy knee 80’s style. I miss him. I cried my eyes out watching this video. Hey, if Dionne Warwick cries when she listens to my Luther, why should we not also partake? So amazing! I hope you enjoy it too!

Someone told me that having these two loves, Bowie and Luther, is just plain weird. For your information, there is a connection between them. Bowie was important in Luther’s early career. Luther co-wrote “Fascination” on the Young Americans album and Luther sang back up vocals for Bowie on the YA tour in 1974.
